Today being Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanthi, I had a unique opportunity to listen to Dr. T H Chowdary, who spoke about “India – How to make it a superpower”. This event was organized by our RSS Hyderabad IT group. It was very motivating and enthralling discussion. This article amalgamates my views and what Dr. THC had to say today. I request you to take time to read the same and send in your comments.
The question was on how to make India Super power and how exactly to further the cause of Sanatana Dharma. The biggest threat according to him is the emergence of Pseudo-secularist, communist and missionaries. The secularist in the name of preserving the so called ideology has resorted to atrocities against the majority. In the modern day, anything you commit against the majority is a valid cause for the secularist movement. For example, Nehru, the biggest socialist India has ever produced in the modern times, never had the slightest sense of India as he was fully educated in British, and had a very biased view about India. No wonder he resorted to write “DISCOVERY” of India during his jail term, we “thank” him in helping us re-discover India! His dynastical politics and attitude has now ruined India. The Nehuvian policies like “Planning commission” and 5 year plans are plagiarized versions of what Netaji had envisioned in 1930. Indira and Rajiv Gandhi were no better.
And interesting historical fact that I learned was about Clement Richard Attlee (then PM of British 1945–51) during his visit to Calcutta during 1947 was asked by the then queen appointed governor of Calcutta as to “Why did you agree to give Independence to India? Was it the fear of Gandhi or Sathyagraha? Or was it the fear of Quit India movement? Or was it the Indian Muslim league?” to all this Mr. Attlee responded with a loud “NO”, he said, we have occupied India and its culture using the very “Indians” and its own human resource, he told the governor that it was the “Indian National Army” and the sense of “Bharathiya” that had been imbibed into the army and people by the Netaji was the most disconcerting and we did not have a choice but to give in.
So, it is important that we realize that there is one more revolution waiting to happen, the one for the sake of our Sanatana Dharma. Its time we all rise to the occasion and participate. Our dharma is under serious stress and we need to work towards fixing all these problems as our moral duty to the land of Sanatana Dharma. The threat as we see is mainly from conversions to Islam and Christianity and Islam. Gandhi’s policy will only work given the fact that we have all the democratic variables in place as he did for Indian independence, but this will not work always and is not always a very good strategy. Actually, Gandhi has gone on to misinterpret Geeta as being purely peaceful and non-violent. We must understand the great verses of Geeta, when it comes to adharma. Lord Krishna advises Arjuna to even destroy his very own brothers to eliminate the stench of adharma. So, if somebody is causing tremendous pain and propagating adharma, as the followers of this great Dharma, we need to “eliminate” the source. If it resorts to violence, so be it. Keeping silent for too long is betrayal we cannot anymore afford to profess sacrilege. Though we respect what Gandhi has given to the country, it was good then and no more applicable, it is time revolutionaries of the stature of Netaji step in. I guess we have had enough of the Gandhi non-violence stuff.
As per Encarta definition of Satyagraha "Gandhi's theory of satyagraha makes a valuable contribution to political praxis. It influenced Martin Luther King and his civil rights movement in the United States, as well as campaigns against nuclear weapons in Europe. Although Gandhi thought otherwise, its success presupposes an open and democratic society and is unlikely to have succeeded against dictators such as Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin."
Dr. THC also spoke of the way that our education, which still continues to be the same as proposed by Thomas Macaulay, in one of his articles he writes “I have seen not one village without school and not one village where literacy is less than 85%”. We know his famous comments he made at the House of Commons, where he declared that the only way to conquer India would be to destroy her culture and heritage. He espoused a very foul strategy of making all the Indian education in English with a strong British bias. People who had a tradition of education in Sanskrit of Persian were left as good as illiterate. This resulted in a huge drop from 85% to 40% during our independence. This was an important reason why we were under the British rule for an additional 12 decades. We need to immediately DE-MACAULAYISE the education system.
India A SUPERPOWER
When Dr. THC threw open to the audience as to what would make India a superpower, the audience listening aptly responded with several answers like Economic stability and power, social justice, political will, etc, etc. But, he reiterated that we were missing the most important point, hearing which an audience from the front row responded with “Military Power” to which Dr. THC acknowledged as being the most important aspect of being a Superpower.
He gave a very good example of JAPAN and GERMANY, which being economically superior did not have the respect that USA has, the only reason being MILITARY POWER. For example, USA is able to go to any place in the world and dominate and wage a war. Apart from military powers, it is backed by a very strong economical growth.
Secondly, the most important aspect he mentioned was severe lack of R&D in India. The primary reason is that of lack of proper Higher education. Education, education, education, is the mantra that we need to strongly stress upon. Though we don’t have a strong education system here in India, we need to venture outside India and get the education selfishly. After completing your education, it is time to come back a work in India. When a audience asked him a question on “Brain Drain” he responded saying that this was a problem with almost all countries like in Italy, about 4% of the people leave and go to the US, where as in India we only have about 2% go out for education. He also stressed on the fact that we need to view Indian population (or Human Resources) as 1 billion brains rather than mouths.
Thirdly, from the socio perspective he went on to say that it is time that we “STOP FEEDING AND BREEDING” instead “LEARN AND EARN”, for example the socialist agenda that was propounded by Nehru and communist, believes in giving free rice, free power, etc. He proposed a theory that we should ban all such favors, especially put a ceiling, where families that produce more than 2 children will have their ration cards revoked for the entire family. This will help in reducing the population and at the same time simmer the socialist agendas. Government cannot afford to continue with this charity for very long.
He also spoke about 3 classes of people, Entitled, Employed and Entrepreneur. Entitled is a person, who expects everything from the government and blames the government for every debacle that is happening and will not contribute towards the society. Employed is a person who is a person ready to work under somebody else and believes in working towards the society at least by paying taxes. Entrepreneur is a person who says that he will work on his own and setup and enterprise. Entrepreneur is the person who needs to be encouraged at any cost to make India a superpower. Especially, the NRI who desire to come back to India want to do so, but are taken aback by the bureaucratic procedures and policies.
